Cookies & your choices.
Essential operation stays available whether you accept or reject optional preferences.
What this application stores
| Category | Storage & purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | localStorage: bendata:cookie-consent:v1 remembers acceptance or rejection, version, and timestamp. | 180 days; renewed on choice |
| Functional | No separate cookie. Accepting optional preferences permits external media sources to be attached to video players. | Until changed or consent expires |
| Analytics / advertising | None installed. No tracking SDK is enabled by either choice. | Not applicable |
localStorage is browser storage, not an HTTP cookie. The application itself sets no HTTP cookies. Your hosting provider may process technical requests or use security mechanisms under its own configuration.
External sample videos
Posters are served from this website. Video URLs are not attached before optional media permission. Rejecting optional preferences leaves a per-sample “Load this sample” control, which grants one-time playback permission for that card without changing your saved choice. Media hosts (W3Schools, Blender, or Google) receive your IP address and technical request information when a sample is loaded. No autoplay or embedded third-party player scripts are used.
Change or withdraw your choice
Accept and Reject receive the same button styling and prominence. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your decision. Rejecting removes globally authorized media sources; a separately authorized one-time card can be unloaded using its control. Clearing browser storage removes the saved preference. If storage is blocked, the choice works in memory for the current page only.
